Hey All, just getting into ice fishing and looking for a cheap used flasher that will work for me. Don’t need anything fancy. Looking for something all set up. I’d like to spend around $150. MarCum, Garmin, Vexilar, etc.

I thought maybe someone who is upgrading would be interested in selling maybe. Fresh out of school so not looking to spend $300+

    Thank you.

I don’t have a used one for you but Humminbird’s ICE-35 is a solid unit that I’ve had for 5 years or so now. Super basic but super reliable, I built a wooden frame for it since the plastic one broke because a car crash but it’s a great affordable flasher and also has a nice big screen that I really like. You might be able to find a cheaper used one on marketplace or craigslist but they’re like 200 new I think.

I have a marcum lx2 that works perfect I would ship to you for $150 but you need to buy a batter and charger for it. I used them for my helix 7 ice shuttle.

I’d do this if I was you….battery and charger run you about $25 or so. That marcum will run for 2 days on a 7ah battery.

If you are local to MPLS I have a free battery and probably can find a marcum charger laying around.

That Marcum deal sounds pretty good for a nice flasher. If you are interested in GPS I have a Lowrance for sale here also. Includes everything you need to fish.

It works well and having GPS can be nice depending on where and how you fish. Full disclosure, I will say the Marcum may have better interference rejection when fishing close to other units. The Lowrance handles it pretty well, but might require more tweaking vs a couple button pushes of the Marcum to clear out clutter.

I have it listed for $200 but wouldn’t let a few bucks one way or the other be a deal breaker, especially for somebody just getting started.

    No pressure, just another option.

I’ve got a very good Vexilar FL-8 SLT, with a good battery & charger, the black case that fits in a 5 gallon bucket for $175. I’m just looking to upgrade.

Not gonna try and undercut the OP on this deal if they are interested but what are the details on your unit? I would more or less be looking to use it for the GPS.

    Thanks

I’m interested in your fl-8. I live in Saskatoon so it would have to be shipped. Would that be a problem?

I ended up buying an Marcum M2 from a buddy for 200 bucks. Thank you all for the help though!
