Looking for a reasonably priced Lakemaster chip for Lake of the Woods and Rainy that would be compatible with a Humminbird 859 belonging to my buddy. If you don’t have one for sale but would like to make a quick $25 I would love to rent your chip for this upcoming Sunday April 2-Tuesday 4. I would be happy to leave a refundable cash deposit for the full value of the chip. I am in Minnepolis but willing to travel ~1 hour to pickup at your convenience (but I need it by Saturday April 1). Just not willing to shell out full price for a chip which we will likely only use a few days a year. Last year we used the navionics app on our phones but in the conditions it was less than ideal or convenient.

    Thanks for your consideration!

Sweet-let me know what you find out! Im assuming all versions (v1-v4) have contours for the rainy river-that would be a must.

Ug…I should also say that I use mine in a hand help Garmin GPS. Does that mean it is compatible with your Hummingbird? I just don’t know…Still yours to borrow if it would work…RR

I’m a lowrance guy so I’m honestly not sure if your chip would work RR? It’s my buddies graph and I won’t have access to it until we’re heading north to fish. Even though it’s a little more driving the safe move might be borrowing from FishBlood.

Garmin Lakemaster won’t work in a Humminbird.

I’d borrow you mine, but my v.4 hbird LOW/rainy is dead and my v.3 is currently misplaced. If FBRM doesn’t work, I have a Garmin handheld with various ram mounts with the LOW/Rainy data, you can borrow that. I’m north of Stillwater.

I’ve got a Lowrance Expedition C with LOTW/Rainy card in it if any other offers fail. I’m in Rosemount. Doesn’t sound like you’ll have any trouble getting a card to borrow!

Seemed to remember my bird having preloaded depths on it last year on the rainy. Had the border to. Wasnt as good as 1′ contours but still something.

Thanks to everyone here and their willinness to help! FBRM was more than happy to help but Dutchy made it TOO easy and hooked me up this morning. I am excited to return the chip to him with a nice sturgeon slime coating next week.

My fishing buddy was blown away by the trust and generosity of this group. He said and I quote “There are still good people in the world. I believe this to be karma for letting strangers use my duck hunting equipment.”

I look forward to paying it forward and thanks again Brian!

    Warm fuzzies for all!
