Wrap It Up Spool Strap alternative to Sven’s Sleeve for Rattle Reels – less $$$

So my friends icehouse has 11 Ultimate Rattle Reels and getting spool straps for them would have been a fortune at $6.50 each.

This is a similar wrap that is far cheaper and works just as well. We put them on his Ultimate Rattle Reels already. Will NOT work on larger spools than that though.

These are $6.99 for a 3 pack while Sven’s Sleeve Spool Wraps are $6.50 each.

I found Amazon to be one of the cheapest spots to get them. They used to sell them at Menards.

That’s what he wanted to do but for about $2 each why not use something that is less likely to fail.

Not that $65 is tons of money but why not save when you can save?

How do the rich stay rich? Not wasting their money.

I guess I was just more amazed that somebody sold colored Velcro and people bought it cuz it fits a rattle wheel. You can buy rolls of velcro from any fabric shop for less.

Rubber bands work great. 100 pack for like 3 bucks. Been using them like that for along time. Rips idea is smart to, buy the damn velcro in bulk for 5 bucks

Someone on IDO recommended the top of an old sock for spools of fishing line. Works great and doesn’t dry out like a rubber band (binder). Probably work on a rattle reel and free.
