Would a Fate Black be a good Spinner bait rod?

    Looking at a 13 Fate black gen 2. 7 foot 1 inch MH would this work good as a general and spinner bait rod? I have tried Medium power before but they seem a little mushy am I thinking wrong?

    That fate is a pretty solid all around rod. I have 1 in the boat when throwing for bass or pike

    It should work. Maybe a hair stiff, but I know what you mean, the Mediums in those are two soft. The mediums work great if you want to use BC gear with jig worms and heavier Ned rigs.
    I have the Fate Chrome in MH and use it for Chatterbaits and it works fine. Never tried Spinnerbaits with it though.

    Awhile back there was for both the omen and fate. I didn’t realize it was still going?

    A 13 fishing rep said they are coming out with new gens for both of them so they are discontinued, fleet farm bought out all of the remaining stock.
