Currently I have a 96 Alumacraft Dominator with a freshly rebuilt 96 evinrude 70 2 stroke. I love my boat but really wish it was wider (currently 74″) and in a few years would probably need the added width. I found online a used 08 classic hull for a pretty cheap price. Appears to be in good shape minus a small indent near the drain plug. The thought has crossed my mind of grabbing that hull and saving it for a fall/winter project where I transfer over my equipment/motor from the dominator to the classic. Just curious if anybody has done this before and if so what was your experience like? What can I expect for cost to have the motor wired up? Any other general thoughts or ideas.
