Yes unions are doing a great job we don’t have enough people and they keep asking us to work more hours with not enough pay increase, I’m ready to stop paying my dues!!

i see your in wisconsin..have at it..wisconsin is right to work. but from my experience the non dues paying people are first in line for all the goodies !!!!!!!

i would assume you get OT at least after 40 hours……….and i’m not sure what the union has to do with hiring or not hiring more employees. and with the extra hours, i’d rather have people complaining about that then looking at a layoff list!!!!

In the past the union has always had or back but since covid people in the private sector are getting paid more for the same job we are doing.

Mojo – what is a QRC?

Qualified Rehabilitation Consultant I think it stands for. As I mentioned, they are the intermediary that goes between the injured worker and the worker’s compensation insurance company, to make sure both parties are following state guidelines.
They will make sure you go to physical therapy or doctor appointments, and they make sure WC pays you and approves treatment and so forth.
In MN, the state assigns a QRC to a case that has been opened for 90 days or longer.
They can be an advocate for the injured worker when WC is slow, and they can be an advocate for WC if the injured person is not doing their part. They will document EVERYTHING, possibly join you for doctor visits, and are very knowledgeable, so a good resource for your questions.

The QRC can only accompany you to a doctor appointment and cannot go into the exam room unless the patient agrees.

Supercat, I hear what you are saying and the employer is using the agreement to say that’s what the parties agreed upon.

But in every contract I’ve ever seen there is NOTHING that says they can’t pay more. And that doesn’t go over well with management. rotflol
