Wood boat finish

Making some new 1/2″ vertical interiors in the boat and looking for a locally found marine grade varnish. Googling has the head spinning on spar varnish, regular, etc.

Here’s a thread about canoe paddles. I would imagine that a finish that is appropriate for a paddle would be appropriate for a boat, too.

I was happy with Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane. I got it at Fleet Farm. Heck, you can have what I have left, if you want.

Have a strong dislike for any minwax product. Few bad experiences years ago with stains and urethanes.

Thanks for suggestion though. Maybe I’m over thinking it as usual.

Sikkens is what 99% of boat owners put on their teak and other woods. Great stuff!
