Talking to Jim at Skeeter Boat Center in Ramsey it won’t be long until they are done rigging my WX2000T. With the snowless ground I’m starting to get excited to pick it up.

How often do you guys use Ring Free in the fuel? Do you add every time you fill? Every third time, fourth time?

    I use it every time.

Is it up to 40.00 a pint this year?

I think quality non oxy fuel is the Most important thing when it comes to what to run through the engine.

something worth looking into IMO and experience,Lucas upper cylinder lubricant,if in doubt, call their toll free tech line.

you mix it one and a half ounces to five gallons of fuel.
if you want a detailed story of my history with lucas and their two/four stroke products,pm me.

I am not a paid endorsement for them or a dealer, purely a satisfied user of their products and faithful user.

I’ve ran it in every tank of gas on my Yamaha’s, never had a problem.

You can find it cheaper online…

I use it in every tank. It is expensive but I think it’s cheap insurance.

I use it when I remember too, which is not often. I feel regular oil changes are more important than fuel additives to motor longevity.

I have 02 225 optimax and the only thing I add to my gas is stabil in the fall for the few months it doesn’t get run. I have never had any issues. I had a 95 Yamaha 40hp that I sold to my bro-in-law, there has never been anything added to the gas on that motor either, and you guessed it, never an issue. At $40 a pint, that ship must be pretty awesome. I understand that you just invested somewhere in the $40,000 range and want to do everything you can to make it trouble free and last for ever, but why are there still plenty of motors from the 70’s and 80’s and 90’s that are still running strong without any additives in the gas. Just think about it, you can buy a transom saver for the price of two pints of ring free, and look at everything transom savers do. devil

Thanks Tom. The transom saver came with the boat. Maybe I can slip a couple nickles in the slots and afford the Ring Free. Everybody wins at the Casino’s.
