Friday evening on Lower Prior as the snow started to accumulate, I was checking out Sandpoint and found 2 inches just 5 yards off of the beach. Off of Sportsmans, again 5-10 yards off of the landing, I found 3 inches. the Ice seemed pretty soft in my opinion. 2 hard wacks with a very dull ice bar and I was through!!

There were two portables set up and 3 others walking out there. I wasn’t sure how quick the snow was going to come and with the ice seeming pretty soft, I figured it would start to sag pretty fast so I never did set up to fish.

I did not get a chance to check out Upper Prior but I figure there might be an inch or two more ice there.

Checked it out late yesterday afternoon. There were 4 or 5 houses on Paradise bay. Talked to one guy just comming off and he said there was about 5″ of ice. Ran over and checked out the sportmans access and there were another 6-7 houses fishing out there. With several nights of near 0 temps I’d think there would be more than enought ice by next weekend to get out on most of the smaller bays. Not sure about the main lake. Best of Luck out there. As always be SAFE !!!

Anybody been out since the storm? I’m looking to get out tomorrow hopefully if the ice is cooperating. Thanks

Went out yesterday off Sportsmans Access. Did a lot of hole hopping. Finally found some perch and sunnies in 14-16fow. They weren’t the biggest, but they kept me busy and got enough for a decent meal.
