The bite on crystal lake was pretty sad last night. I fished for 4 hours( 4:30-7:30) coming up with 3 crappies over ten inches and about 20 that were under 7 inches. It seems like every year this lake gets worse and worse for crappie fishing. The bigger fish we did get was right at sunset in about 15 feet of water. The smaller fish all came from 20-25 feet of water. In years past it seemed like you could always round up about 10-15 nice fish( over 10 inches), unless I’m missing out on a little hot spot out there I do believe that is what you can expect to get in a evening of fishing out there. For what its worth structure played a huge role in getting those bigger fish.
