Just a quick report on the bass on Minnetonka. A buddy and I fished the Classic on sat. Of course we finished 1 place out of the money. We caught a lot of fish working various inside weedlines on 4-5″ stickworms texas rigged in shallower water or on a 3/32oz money jig when the inside weedline was in deeper water. The average fish was about 2lbs, with our biggest just over 3. We didn’t get a good jig or crank bait bite going in the deeper water, but others that cashed checks did. Congrats to the top finishers.

How are people doing on Tonka with the high water temps? I found it to be great through about Aug 1, but since then it has been so quiet Im thinking about waiting til September. Thoughts?

We caught some nice fish most of last week in the 4-8 foot depth ranges… had to be a mix of weeds though. Also still picking fish off out on the deep rocks with carolina rigs and drop-shots… this cool down is going to be good though…
