Got out friday with my father before the sale and played around with Big baits took a majority of the fish. That funky chicken baby shad attached to a 1/16th xhcange jig was working and dad was doing a number on the Jalapeno and a purple tail. There is just something fun about watching a Thill bobber get pulled down in the shallows in the spring! Everything was rolling! Didnt find any big fish just alot of “those” fish. Went to the sale and had some fun. Worked all night at the store. (Literally) than all day saturday. Had a wedding party that went till 330 this am and got back up at 7 which almost doubled my amount of sleep since getting up thursday am. Dad couldnt go today but my mom was really wanting to go so we opted for a shore spot and put some fish in the bucket for mama. Got some decent gills and some nice crappies again and it was nice not seeing a crowd of people. Today we were working a shallow north end cut in about 4 feet of water working small jigs that I tied and gulp alive leeches! Fishing was fun and the twins game not so much.
