    Lakes and ponds inside the 494 loop are starting to open up! I have a 50 acre pond near the house that is ice free. Battle Creek lake is about 50% open. With 70’s in the forcast I see my boat on a lake inside the next 5-7 days!!

    Should be a great upcoming week or two! I hope they open up the P2 boat ramps soon!

    Top 2 metro for ice out are White Bear and Bald Eagle. Like the Chisago area too!

    Been out three days so far this past week fishing crappies around the metro with the long rods. Been fun, super sluggish fish still. Lite biters and small ice jigs still!

    Is there still ice on the lake you are fishing Chris. Dont think I have ever targeted them this early on open water.
