Spent the Whole Day out on Prior lake Saturday, What a Beautiful Day!! I went out in search of crappies and sunnies and was able to get on a decent bite away from the crowds. I set up on a depression, in about 14′ of water. Drilled a bunch of holes, dropped the camera down and immediately saw fish stacked up.
They were very finicky biters though, having a camera to see what they were doing was critical. I threw everything under the sun at them, the most successful lures seemed to be the gill pill and a pink ratso. Jigging hard seemed to work to bring them in but once they were there holding the jig steady was key, otherwise they were scared away.
Kept a few for a nice dinner but released many to fight another day!
