I put another full day on Prior today and had the priveledge to meet RyanK, great to meet ya man!

Fishing was a little tougher today, the morning bite was nonexistant and it really didn’t pick up until 11. The fish were really picky today, nothing really was the go to bait. I’d have to say a small Diamond jig was the best, followed by the tough bite stand-by, a small black ant. All fish came on red spikes, including another slimer! I ended up putting together a nice little bunch of fish for a grease bath real soon. No real hogs, but some quality 8 inchers came through the hole today.

Just like my last trip, all the gills scooted and it was slimer time again. I was snapped off by a giant, don’t know how big, but it looked bigger than the one I DID ice. Not to frett, as soon as I re=tied, there was another slimy rocket eyeing my jig. I knew it was a real nice fish, even on camera, she was a beauty! She crushed my Diamond jig and it was game on. I cheated this time though, I was using 4lb test. Fun, fun fun!! I snapped a few pics, and down the hole she went. Honestly, the pics don’t do her justice, solid healthy fish. I’m guessing 10-12lbs.

That pike looks like he may have a gill or two in his gut.

    Nice fish
