ok so a friend from a local bait shop told me there was a lake in Eagan that had lake trout. honestly i did not believe him. but he said it was true. did not get the name of the lake as he did not know it either. so i was wondering if anybody here would know. a lake in eagan that has lake trout, or just trout in general.

According to the DNR Website, Lac Lavon has been stocked with Rainbows:

I haven’t personally fished this lake so I can’t say what you might catch there.

thanks you guys, i guess my friend was wrong about lake trout, what he probably meant was trout in general.

holland is dead, has been for a while. you might be lucky and pull something out of there, but it’s a big waste of time if you ask me.

Lac Lavon is a shot in the dark also. I grew up less than a mile from it and fished it alot. Back in the day you could pull a few trout out ice fishing but the last couple of times I tried it was a waste of time. This lake also has no boat launch you can carry in a canoe or a small boat but I dont rember if you can use a motor. Any one ever get trout out of Square lake? We ice fished it hard a few years back and hooked a few but seen a couple hundred. Wondering if anyone had some tricks for this lake.
