Same spot, same depth, same story! I set up early this morning at about 6am and gave it a full shift.

    LOCATION: PRIOR LAKE
    DEPTH: 14FOW
TACKLE: GILL PILLS, DIAMOND JIGS, DEMON GLOW JIGS, CRAPPIE MINNOWS, RED SPIKES

I got set up and immediately started seeing the fish I was looking, so I was excited for the day ahead. Again, the fish were everywhere in the water column, which tells me that someone is looking to eat. Weird thing today though, the high riders weren’t the aggressive feeders, but the bottom hugging gills and crappies were. Again I started with a Diamongd jig and caught a few, but too many lookers. I downsized to a #14 Gill Pill and it was game on.
There was definately different sized schools of fish coming through today, when a 9 incher showed up, it usually had company of same size fish. Once again I weeded through the dinks and put together a nice mess of fish for the hot grease!

Just after dark, my bobber was buried! Crappie time right? Wrong! It was slimer time This time, with no camera cord to get in the way, I managed to ice a real nice pike on 2lb test line, I’m guessing she was a solid 10 pounder, super fun. With a quick pat on her I sent her on her way. Good luck out there!
