January 6 — Backyard Ice Fishing – Metro Area
Host(s): Matt Johnson
Description: Thorne Bros employee and Pro Staffer, Matt Johnson, will talk about the overlooked aspects of ice fishing that are found right under our noses… one being the availability of excellent ice fishing opportunities right out in our backyard. It’s time to focus on the “local” lakes and pinpointing those neighborhood fish. Matt will touch on Metro Area locations and tactics… lake maps welcomed!!!
January 13 — Another Perpective for Fishing Pressured Metro Waters
Host(s): Tom Dobbins
Description: Thorne Bros Pro Staffer, Tom Dobbins, will touch on topics such as staying mobile even on foot, finding the fish rather than waiting for the fish to find you, getting away from the crowds, plastics and their effectiveness, fly Reels for panfishing; ice benefits and issues, taking new people out fishing to introduce more people to the sport (young and old) and a quick bonus on a couple fish photography tips! This one is jam-packed with need-to-know info!
January 20 — Artificials on Ice
Host(s): Corey Bechtold
Description: Ice fishing expert and Thorne Bros Pro Staffer, Corey Bechtold, will explain the modern craze in using artificial presentations for becoming a better ice angler. Everything from panfish to larger gamefish, artificial baits have their place in an ice angler’s arsenal and Corey will teach you how to catch more and bigger fish by leaving the live bait at home!
January 27 – Understanding Your Flasher
Host(s): Vexilar Pro Staff
Description: This is a must attend if you’re looking to learn how to more utilize all the great features of you flasher unit. We will have company Pro Staff in attendance to help answer questions and teach you how to better understand and equip yourself with the skills needed to be a better ice angler!
