Anyone ever hard water fish Lake Owasso? Its rite on my way to work so I was wondering if it would be worth my time to leave a few hours early to find some fish. I know there are aerator’s out there so I have to be careful of thin ice.

Any suggestions, thoughts or tips on this lake? If you dont want everyone to know please feel free to PM to me as well.

    Thank you in advance

Heard second hand accounts of huge walleye on early ice. Chased that dream a few times with no success. Gave up…

Have seen fish boats casting for ski’s Wednesday evenings
while volunteering with the Courage Center adaptive
water skiing (not same ski) program for handicapped at this lake. No, Travis, those tournament Mastercrafts with the
chase boats and lake patrol are not actually trolling–even
if the padded seat and outriggers look like one of your custom lures.

Owasso a good summer weedline pike lake. The walleyes I’ve caught through the ice have been pretty small. Last week I fished it for 2 hours and caught one 12″ walleye + three 5″ walleyes. I’ve never found good panfish or pike fishing there in the winter. Last winter, I caught about a dozen shiners out there while searching for panfish. I can’t imagine aerators would be in use, but I found very uneven ice conditions. It was 8 inches in some spots, 3 in others. This was before Friday’s rain. Be careful.
