Bite has been going great. Have to experiment a little bit but once dialed in the fish are biting. Wednesday night the fish came on HJ10s Black chrome and Tennesse Shad. Friday night it was HJ12s glass perch pattern. Trolling speed Wed was 1 to 1.2 Friday was 1.4 to 1.7. Typical bite pattern time, the 1 hr after sunset and another window at moonrise. The eyes have just been toads. We digital scaled a couple of 26 inchers that were around the 8lb mark and had a 28 that just missed 10. Wish I had a camera on board for that fish. It was as thick as the fish in my avater and James knows what a toad that was. Would have been out Sat and Sunday but am fighting the flu. Going out tonight no matter what. Bite is just too good to miss.

Nice report Mark, I was waitng for your annual update!

Didn’t get out Sunday due to sick kids and exhaustion from being up a lot of the night with them.

Comparing your report with what we have doing differs slightly, but the results are similar. Nice to see that different lures/colors, differet times of the evening and the relationship to the moon produces diferently.

Still looking for that illusive Tonka 30″. Not that 30″ is the goal, the 28’s and bigger can run over 10 lbs. There all trophies in our book.

Great report Mark. I’ve gone out for the night bite in my neck of the woods a couple of times this year and came up short. I’m not giving up yet, the weather is just too nice still.
