Tomorrow me and a few friends are heading to Minnetonka. Were mostly targeting bass and maybe a few ski’s. I think were planning on putting in at gray’s marina. Do you think it will be packed on a friday? Any tips on catching a few fish? Were not keeping any just out for a good time. PM me if you do not want to post.
If the weather is nice Tonka will be packed. The good news is that the greys landing is the best ramp on Tonka. Save the bays with weekend no wake restrictions for your afternoon fishing and you should be fine. If the water temps have started to climb look for deep rock or submerged points for larger fish. If you want numbers just cruise docks and inside weedlines all morning. Tonka’s a Bass factory so you should be able to find a patern pretty quick.
For better intel stop at Wayzata Bait on the way in. Look for Tim or Lyle. (You can’t miss Lyle.
