I checked out several of the smaller lakes out west this Sunday. Most had 2.5 inches of ice. Walkable yes, safe enough for me, not yet. Especially since I was by myself. Look for an update later in the week, however I don’t expect conditions to change much with our current temps.
That’s about what I heard. Thus the reason I haven’t even driven out that way yet. Thanks for the update.
I’m gonna hit Parley tonight. It should be safe now with the cold nights. Me and the spud bar are going to find out anyway. Minnetonka was really freezing in yesterday. I’m guessing by the weekend she’ll be locked up. There was one boat out there last night, east of the Arcola bridge, could barely see it from the bridge.
Unfortunatly I didn’t get to go fishing tonight. Funny how things at work pop up when I even think about fishing. Maybe it’s payback for spending too much time here…..Nah. I hope to have an updated ice report before the weekend.
