Was able to get out on Prior today. It is about 5-6 inches, really slushy (although that will be taken care of tonite). Went out of the sportsmans access, found some holes already drilled, so I just hole-hopped til I marked some fish. Camped out in 20 fow and had a limit of nice sunnies in an hour. Small green jig tipped with euro-larvae did the trick. If you plan on going out there be careful of parking on the ice- you can be ticketed. Not sure what distance is it you have to be away from the shore, but I wouldn’t park on the ice yet.

Fished Prior last Fri and Sunday. Small breaks from 10-18ft with no weeds. Mostly sticks and muck. Same areas both afternoons. Fri – small perch and a few small eyes fell victim to green Buckshots with single hook. Sunday – brutal. One crappie on a Forage minnow and fat head. What can you expect from 40 degrees and 2 inches of rain in the morning and 8 degrees and snow/25 mile an hour wind in the evening. Be carefull with Vexilars. On the camera on Fri saw Crappies, Sunfish, Perch, lots of Suckers, White Bass, and Walleyes. You just might not know what you are targeting. Had 6-7 iches of ice. Should be pretty solid after this week.
