Waconia Bass have been cooperating for the last week. Another IDO’er and myself had a good Saturday morning (5/31) with 30 fish landed and 4 lost. The first 29 and the 4 lost came in the first 3 hours of fishing. Minimum size was 14″ and the largest was 17″. The average though was close to 15-16″. For fun we kept track of our 8 largest and we put together a bag of fish that weighed 19-2 or so according to the Berkely handheld scale. When the sun burned the clouds off and got high in the sky the bite really slowed. Look for emergent weed growth and fish the edge.
It’s a good day when you come home with “bass thumb” from lipping so many fish.
