Bite has been pretty good for me this week on the west side from sunset on. Keying on inside turns on 20ft deep shelves near big weed flats. Crappies have been hugging the bottom in these spots. Best combo has been Little atom micro nuggies in glow on a red glow minnie mert. The pink head/white body ratso with a little bit of waxie also produced. A minnow on a deadstick will also get you a few fish but plastics were much more productive. I also recommend a spring bobber as crappies on the bottom just suck in your lure and you need to watch for the slightest tick. It’s a very light bite. With some sorting you can easily catch a limit in short order. Ice has been 6 to 8 inches thick in my spots.
