I have been fishing these 2 lakes since Dec.1.
Peltier: Accessing of Old Mill Road. Walking out about 75-100yds to the dropoff, fishing in 12-13ft of water. Sunfish/Northern during the day and Crappie in the evening. A typical metro lake with decent numbers but nothing huge. Others are walking out from the pier to the middle of the south part. If you go on a weekend its getting pretty crowded out there. You can’t access the lake from the boat launch because of road construction. I have seen some snowmobilers out but they are nuts. Not enough consistent ice yet. Of course they have no intention of stopping or they might fall through.

Centerville: Accessing off the boat launch,Off cr14 and next to the closed down bar between the lakes. Fished there Saturday in 15ft of water. Same scenario with the fish with the exception of no northerns and its ALOT longer walk to get to decent fishing. Ice is very inconsistent from 3 to 7.5″ Again a snowmobiler screemed by me going across the lake.

PS: Sucker minnows $9.50 a dozen at Centermart in town I bought a half dozen on Saturday, used 1,put the rest in with the crappie minnows and the suckers died in my laundry room… I should have seperated them into a big 5 gallon bucket.
