Went out this afternoon and checked several lakes in the buffalo area. Found 3 1/2 to 5″ of clear good ice on buffalo, although there are a few pressure ridges running across the lake 10′ wide at some spots! I promise they will swallow the front ends of a few trucks this year! The NW side is wide open yet so forget that access for a while! Little Pulaski has 4″ of good ice. A few of my honey holes have 3-5″ of good ice. In all I checked 6 lakes, most had open spots yet. The smaller lakes looked to be commpletely covered. I’ll be hitting the show tomorrow, fishing sunday!
