Finally got time to do some trolling on Minnetonka. Trolled some main lake structure with steep breaks out on the west end. Three nice ones largest was 28″ in less than two hours. Minnow rap 110 ft back 10ft of water 1.5 to 2mph. Lost another on the way to the boat. Depth finder was not co-operating so I don’t know water temp and exact depth might be slightly deeper as I was relying on my GPS for depth. HJs did not produce a fish, the eyes wanted a little more action. Only going to get better from here.

Thanks for the report Mark. I have been thinking about heading out there one of these days. The walleyes have been biting everywhere for the last couple weeks. I havent had the time to put together a proper report.

I have had more luck on live bait rigs then I have had on cranks so far… then again I have been using live bait most of the time because the cranks werent producing for me. That can and will change overnight.

With water temps in the low 50s turnover is very close or has happened depending on the bay. This weekend was tough – only a 18″ walleye. Noticed fish were holding at bottom of breaks which usually means not aggressive. Probably a live bait night. We’ll see what tonight has in store..

Was up on Mille Lacs until Thurs. Headed out tonight and we’ll see. Fish should have settled back in after the turnover and Weds small front.
