Went to Lake marion for our Company picnic last friday for about 5 hrs. Brought the boat and pitched some jigs and swim jigs for Largemouths and had a decent day of it. Nice lake, never had fished it before but will definately give it another shot. We fished the middle section north of the road across the lake and pitched jigs to the few docks that are on this part of the lake. Ended up with a few fish including two over 19 inches. Did fish other areas south of there and had some bites but no hookups. Any one else have any experience on this lake? Let me know what else as we had limited success after we got done with the docks.

Kinda of a poor picture as it was off the camera phone, unfortunately this was the only picture that turned out and it was the 2nd largest of the fish we caught that day.

on top of the gadzillion stunted sunnies, there are a few hammer handles too, that like to bite a guy off.

A buddy of mine really likes to fish it for bass and does well. They have a couple smaller tournies there each year.
