Last Saturday morning a friend of mine and I went out on Demontreville for about 4 hours. Got 12-14 bass total with the biggest being 18″ and 3 1/2 lbs. Lost a couple of nice ones that were as big as the 18″ one when they jumped out of the water and shook the lure out.

Yes, it is no wake until noon, which is really nice and bass is catch & release. Most people are awake enough to read and obey it, but there is always someone who goes racing across the lake. There are only about 12 spots for vehicles with trailers, so it usually fills up early. Demontreville is also connected to Olsen Lake by a small 150 foot long channel. Both have nice bass populations. The guy in the picture is a friend of mine that I finally was able to take up there for some good fishing.nick4rmthelagoonPosts: 13July 31, 2007 at 1:45 am #595478i live right next to demontreville and fish it alot and right now the water is down and they had to move the dock at the launch because of it ther are many spots to catch them and i always have suxccdese on the sandbar on the north side of the lake wear the stream comes out in the upper section of the lake
August 29, 2007 at 3:55 am #604098well I had the pleasure of going out and fishing this lake today. I pulled a 20″ on a blue/black wave worm. aslo caught some 16’s and 17’s on spinner baits, looks like the fish are in transition from summer patterns to fall paterns so start looking for the fish to start getting up in semi shallow waters. the bigger fish should start to become active and easier to catch.
thanks
shane
September 10, 2007 at 4:50 pm #606450There is a note at the launch that the ramp will be closed today thru wednesday. Hopefully they will dig up the gravel piled up at the end of the dock. It is pretty shallow there if you are backing up from your trailer.
September 12, 2007 at 7:01 pm #607587I am planning on getting out here this coming weekend (sat) if the weather holds. I am curious as to what the fish will be doing with the cold front we are getting. Hopefully they are recovered by then and are starting there fall binge.
If anyone gets out prior to the weekend, please let me know the situation with the launch,Have a good one!
September 15, 2007 at 7:10 pm #608371Got out today from 730 to 12. fishing was slow till about 10 and then I started to get into the fish. My fish came in 8-10 feet of water surronded by weeds. I have a hard time finding any weeds, so once I did I was able it made sense that the fish where by them. all my fish came on texas rigged worms. I tried a bunch of other techniques but didn’t have any luck at all. The biggest fish of the day for me was 17″. the fish where thick though, I am imagining that they are getting ready to put there fall feed bag on.
There where a bunch of other bass boats out there but judgin by how much they where mving, I think it must have been slow for them too.
The water temp was around 62.The launch that people have talked about here is no joke. It is a big mess. I had a hell of a time getting my boat on. I hammered my propr on the way. hopefully they get that fixed soon.
