I’m heading to Orchard lake with my class tomorrow and was wondering if anyone had any advice on some spots to target other fish becides those dang sunnies? I don’t need anything fancy but a general idea or technique would be extremely helpful. does it have some nice bass in it? How about northerns?
    Thanks in advance

hows it goin, realy nice lake, know a guy that caught a couple waleye w/ slip bobber & minnow from shore. lots of small bluegill. if your on a boat, troll the north end in 20-30 feet of water with deep crankbaits and you shold get some really nice muskys- (there are some huge ones in there) biggest i caught was 38 inches. large mouthe bass are there, and some big ones, but kind of hard to find more than a couple. good luck!!!!!!! p.s, they just did some weed removal, so there might be some really nice bass & crappie spots opening up.

Thannks for the info. We had 6 boats going out with our class. It was an incredibley fun day to be on the water. My boat caught 6 bass over 16″ and a 30″ musky. We worked the shorelines for most of the day, the other boats took the advice of our teacher who lives on the lake and fished the smaller island. I heard of 1 27″ musky coming out of there and a ton of sunnies and crappie. I am going to have to try the trolling idea next time I am out there. I used a skitter prop for the entire day and have the groups I took out use an assortment of other lures depending on their skill level.
    Thanks again,
    Chris
