I am looking for more fishing partners for this season. I am a resident of the west metro, but not a native of MN therefore I don’t know a ton of people.

But I am looking for individuals to fish with that are passionate about Muskie fishing.

I do have a boat, it is not 100% ideal. I am more interested in being a non-boater,if you find yourself fishing alone, I am your canidate. I have a fairly flexible schedule and a very understanding wife. Also understand I don’t want to be a mooch either. I am always good for hot coffee, drinks and snacks, good conversation and lots of B.S.

I have been fishing Muskies for about 3 years now. Not many fish in the boat, but I have been learning a ton through on the water experiences, reading and show seminars. The hunt and learning has been just as rewarding.

I am the most familiar with Tonka and Waconia, but looking to expand my horizons also. The exact reason I am looking for other Muskie nuts like myself.

    Is it June Yet?

If you’re interested shoot me a response or a private message.

    Hey Lotsofluck!
    Keep in touch!

I’m sure when this summer rolls around we can find a few new lakes to go huck bait too!

PM me anytime you want to go. I live on Tonka and fish it a lot as Gary knows. No problem taking you along. Always good to have another guy in the boat – makes landing fish much easier and helps in figuring out the pattern. I don’t fish Sundays and am busy most Thursday nights but other wise good to go. Just be forewarned I do a lot of experimenting and exploring. I have been known to suddenly switch over to chasing other species if it looks like that bite is on. Not largemouth bass though. Do not like green carp.

Sounds great Stanman, we have exchanged messages before in regards to trolling Tonkas fall eyes’. I will take you up on your offer this season.

It is nice to think outside of the box with other fisherman, sharing tactics, experiences and techniques. Getting out of the rut is good.

Keep an out for Bob Bowman or myself a little closer to opener. We fish Sugar a lot, but have pretty much decided that it is going to be a lot of Mille Lacs this summer. We both run Rangers, Bobby has ’03 Red 619, Merc 200 Opti and Kick. I have an ’03 Blue 620, Yami 225 and kick. If you see us on the water say hi . Bob has bankers hours and usually gets out a couple times a week, I work for lawyers and they never let me out. We are always open to someone coming along for the ride.

    See you on the water.

Oh yeah, don’t forget to keep tuned to the Muskie Tournament HQ forum, it is our little home away from home on this site.

Don’t listen to Dan, there are not muskies in Sugar ….The thing that caught my eye at first was “Flexible Schedule and Understanding Wife”……I will be spending a lot of time this summer(mid week) fishing so keep in touch. I have to get this arm fixed first, on the way to the sports Doc today. With any luck I can get out of this without surgery . Keep in touch and we will stick some lunge this summer

Dan and Bob thanks for the response! Thanks to everyone. It is always convenient to have an extra pair of hands in the boat when it comes to the landing job or picture taking. Even working on a pattern as a team. Now I am really looking forward to the Muskie season.

The big fish always come when you are alone or don’t have the camera

Or worse when your springtime crappie fishing with 4lb test and a ultralight. I get bushwacked every spring on Tonka and they are never small ones.

Jason, I am always looking for someone to share gas expenses for Mille Lacs trips if your interested, I am not a Mille Lacs expert but I am planning on spending time there this year. I am on call every other week, when I am its Tonka, when I am not its Mille Lacs. I usually don’t start musky fishing until mid-July.

sippi sounds good! I will keep in touch. Mille Lacs is very intriguing to me, especially after listening to Steve Jonesi at the Extreme show in Medina.

Looks like this season is going to be a busy one, really looking forward to hunting the alpha predator this summer.

Your changing over to fishing Flatheads?

A person might find me chasing ski’s once in a while this summer… but they wont find me outside the Minneapolis city limits looking for them.

Plungepool let’s plan on getting out this year. Glad you dug up my old thread. I didn’t get to get out nearly enough last season, between home projects and the heat.
