Got to the lake and got started about noon.
tried tip-ups in a couple of area in 10-15 feet, with no luck. Moved into Wagoners Bay, south of Pillsbury reef. I drilled at least 20 holes, and had a very large area covered. just a few short fish showed up before sunset, and even afterwards fish were very tight lipped.. I mainly moved from hole to hole, and looking for some biting fish. Some other friends stayed in their houses or popups and was able to use 2 rods. I was only able to use 1 rod while hole hopping. After sunset, minnows did seem to get most of the fish, but they never really had a good bite. Very negative fish..Most crappies are 8 3/4 to 9 1/2 inches range. Guys in house were using bobbers, and I used a small vert spoon or jig, with minnow. It is key to have an active minnow, a non-moving minnow, isn’t going to cut it…
Overall, good to get out, but the bite was slow..
    Jack..
