Slow evening on Nokomis

I braved the cold this evening with the company of Bob Moore to hit an *old faithful* spot along the shore of Nokomis. We set up shortly after 5 pm and got the bobbers and jigs down. I dont think it was 10 minutes and I heard Bob yelling at the big fish on the depth finder to “eat it you $*%&!”… his subtle, begging tone of voice didnt work, neither did the frustrated yelling

We watched larger fish come on to the flasher and investigate our baits every couple minutes, nothing was opening their mouths. The larger fish dissapeared by around 7 pm and we had constant presence of bait size fish from then on.

No fish on the ice tonight, we were done by 8 pm. It seems the fishing may have slowed some with this incoming cold front.

One other guy out there when we got out there, by the time we left it was just us. If you go today, I think you will have lots of room to work, with the temps as they are.
