Still very curious!

Maybe someone remembers a post I made last fall about a post I started about a cable that runs across lake jane. Well I went out ice fishing and was using my underwater camera and found that the cable is suspended off the bottom about 5 feet from the bottom. I also got a little better look at it and it is not piping for heat or cooling like someone suggested but it kind of bothers me that it is there. THere are no warnings and very easy to catch with an anchor like I did this fall. I let it go thinking it was resting on the bottom but now can tell that it is suspended. I just don’t understand the reason for it. The lake is not so big that a wire would need the shortcut. If any of you go out and are curious like me. LOoking south at the 1st house on the west side of the boat ramp to the gray house across the lake is about where it is. For some reason I seem to fish that area a lot when I ice fish.

Brign it up to your local CO’s attention. If it is a danger to fisherman it might wanna be addressed sooner then later..

I would put money it is a utility cable phone or power, I work for the phone company & we have cable that crosses under water alot. There probaly is a sign somewhere on the lake that says utility cable.
