    Thanks for the change James!

The metro area forum is no longer split between east and west. I agree that this should be a change for the better for all the metro guys to be able to keep what is happening close to home in view without navigating 2 different forums.

Well.. we got it, lets try to bring this forum to life!

David, just curious, what are the geographical “boundries” for this forum? I know everything is welcome, just wondering what is considered “metro”.

I dont think here are any real *boundaries*. Anything in the metro, or greater metro area I think belongs here. The boundaries will likely end where another existing forum should take the area of a lake in question… for example, there is a chisago area lakes forum which covers that chain. There is really nothing heading west(unless I missed something) until you get the “Clearwater” forum, which should likely cover that whole Annandale greater area?

If it doesnt seem to fit in any of the existing out-of-metro forums(example, chisago area), this forum will be a safe bet.

Most metro fishermen fish all around the metro. This should prove to be a very reliable place for information most anywhere around the greater metro. If a subject/lake is brought up and should be in a different forum, it will likely be brough to our attention.

I am pretty sure it will become clear with some activity, and any confusion will iron iteslf out.

What a great idea guys. I think this makes plenty of sense. I see the Metro Area Forum as a place to ask questions and suggest helpful hints for the Twin Cities area. I am excited. Thanks for the change

There really is no boundaries. It basically lays to where your water is at. St. Francis has a LOT of good water up that way!!! Would love to hear more about it!

    Gary,

I will be getting out more often real soon. We have been pretty busy at work and have 2 new people starting on Monday. should free me up to hit the ice a little more often. I shoot for at LEAST once a week… would like more though. I have a hobby farm as well as a full time job (as well as a part time job). And the daughter has activities 3 to 4 times a week. Getting out more than once a week is sometimes a challange.

This was well over due. Glad to see just one general section.
