Sounds like there is a pretty decent eye bite in the evenings on Buffalo. The only problem is the fish are running on the small side. Sounds like 12-14″ fish are the norm. Anyone been out?

Yep, been out several times since walkable ice. 12-14″?? Nah! 10-12″ is more like it. If they were pushing 14″ I’d be keeping a few. Been catching a pile of them, not one keeper yet. Also talked to many folks at the landing, they’re seeing the same thing, all under 12″. The bite is fun from 4-7pm or so, getting some crappies mixed in as well but have to sort through the “silver dollar” fish to find some keepers.

As far as the size of the eyes goes, we need to release those fish to insure the future of the lake.
