Took my wife’s middle daughter our for just a few hours this evening. Fishing was slow, tried swimjigs, frogs, and buzzbaits. Gina caught this Largemouth casting to a shoreline using a blue swimjig. She was pretty excited. She also had a blow up on a buzzbait when it got dark, but did not hook up.
The moon will be full in a day or two, we watched it as it came up during the evening. Fishing was slow, but we enjoyed the evening.
this first pic is Gina with her LM.

We also went together the end of last week, but fishing was so slow, I didn’t want to bore anyone with not much of a report.

This LM is one I caught (that night) on a black buzzbait durng a cloudy dark night.

What is with all the slow fishing lately???? a couple of weeks ago with a few club boats there, I thought It was pretty good fish, and good action.

    Hi Jack,

I did OK last Friday afternoon and pretty good Monday morning. I found 3 fish in a row that were all 18 or 19 inches. The water is really green this year and the weedbeds just never developed. If you can find som green weeds, the fish will be around sooner or later. Docks haven’t produced much. Nice looking fish you guys caught!

    Jack,

I got out on “D” this morning around 5:30. I was on the East side of the lake trying to get out of the wind. It was one of those “follow you around the lake” winds. It was always blowing into your face or blowing you into shore, regardless of where you were. Nasty! But it was well worth it as the Bass were pretty active. What cold front? 17 fish in 4 hours of fishing, anywhere from 6 inches long to 18. 6 or 7 of them were on topwaters. A fun morning!

    See ya

    Jack,

All fly rod fish. There aren’t many days of that kind of action left so I have to get it in as I can. In another week or so the crankbait bite will start up on that lake and then I’ll have the baitcasters out
