I haven’t fished these lakes for a few years, but with a recent move, I think I’ll be trying to hit them. How has the fishing been recently?

He doesnt really fish anywhere now, would he still be considered a traitor?

I havent been on the lakes recently, but lots of reports come into the baitshop from people floating suckers and bullheads. It sounds like the big bass have been biting more than anything, and a few decent walleyes have been pulled in too. I havent heard much about muskies or pike, but those buying big bait are coming back regularly.. they are catching something.

I was at Harriet Monday. Bassin’ from shore. Lots of action. 5.3 lbs largest. Nine fish total(2 hrs), Rubber worms in the milfoil. Bit off once by a Muskie. Saw another basking in the sun on the surface. A kid on the dock pulled in a 42″ ski with a topwater plug. No sure how the eye action is?

Crap, you guys caught me. I knew I should have created a secret identity with another username!

Let’s just put it this way, if I am fishing after 6pm, you’ll find me on the river. If the sun is high, I might just want to tree catching a bass like I used to. You know, it has been so long I don’t remember what the appeal was.

Anyway, I could be asking you guys why you are out of the Mississippi forum!

Thanks for the report Beave. Do you consider Harriet a better bass’en lake? It’s been so long since I texas rigged a plastic worm that I wonder if I can put it on straight! I might end up wacky rigging it, since I’m used to hooking live bait!

    hard at work there beave?

I had to do a double-take, you actually put up a fishing report! I thought you just worked, ride your scooter around, and put the kids to bed.. who would have known you had time to fish!

I have not fished Calhoun since 1998? I hear pike bite is good. — Hey Dave. Are you going out tonight? The Kids are away for the weekend! Shoot me a ring if so.
