About 4 or 5 boats from my club were on Demontreville/Olson this afternoon and evening. Overall fishing was slow, but some nice fish were caught. My partner and I started out fishing docks in Olson. that was a little slow, but did get a few descent bites. The first pic is Jerry with his nicest Bass of the evening, which measured 17 inches. Pretty sure this hit a SwimJig along a shoreline, between docks. With all the cloud cover, the docks were not holding a lot of fish, but a few, the second pic is me holding my nicest fish of the night, which measured 19 inches, and was a very strong fish. It was caught far back under a dock, on a white Senko, went around a dock post one time, but quickly came out to open water. We also fished some buzzbaits along weed edges on Demont, and caught 4 Bass. mostly 15 inchers. Overall fun night, and good company, and some quality fish.

Was it just a fun tourney just to be out or did you guys do paper? What was the winning bag?

    Steve,

    WE definitely WILL…

    Dan,

the evening was our last mid-week trip for the year. We do just about total catch and release all during the year. We have a point scoring system to determine points for each fish and each species. when a fish is caught, it is measured right away, then put right back into the water (where it was caught). even where legal, we do not livewell fish to weigh at end of day. the only time someone might put a fish into a fresh livewell, is maybe to get the camera out to get a few pics, then right back into the water. We have awards at the end of the year, but not at individual events.

winning bag ?? I heard of one other 19″ fish and a few Northern, and a few 17″ LMB, and a couple of guys had slow nights. So far, my 6 fish limit is the only one I’ve heard of, I had 19″,16,16,15,15,15. I will start to receive Point Sheets for this event, and members have about a month to get them to me. I keep ongoing Point totals for biggest fish, Points per species, and per member, and updated every month in our newsletter.

    IT IS quite fun.

    Jack..
