Fished Cedar Lake near New Prague last night. Windy and hot, but we managed four largemouth bass. The largest was 3lb 4oz. Water was very, very warm all over the lake with temps ranging from 87 in the shallow area’s to around 84.5 in other area’s. These fish were caught on 7″ plastic worms, tequila sunrise, water depths ranging from 2′-6′ deep. Caught one of the fish on a “Beast” power bait, something new they had on the shelf, so I tried it. It works fine, but he sunfish rip this tails off the bait in no time.
Fish were in haling the baits. One bass I caught was only about 8″ long on a 7″ power worm. The worm was swallowed by the time I felt this smaller fish.
When I get the photo’s I’ll add them.
