Normally, I fish the “classic” walleye structure in winter such points, humps, deep rocks, etc. I usually start in 30’+ with a jigging spoon/tip-up combo and gradually work shallower until I find fish. I also always try to drill all the holes I think I will need when I start as to not scare the fish during prime time hours.
In the summer I do fish outside weedlines for walleyes. Weed walleyes are an underfished resource but as of yet I not been able to get a consistant bite in the winter. Good luck.
