What club/league events have been on Waconia the past few nights? Anyone know? Any results? I didnt talk to anyone at the landing about the details any night.
My buddy was out the last couple of days and ended up getting into some nice fish. He was keying in on water in the 5-8 feet range and fishing the emerging vegetation. What worked for him was throwing finesse worms, eg. senkos.
It also sounds like the pannies are in there too. Hopefully that helps some.
I am planning on getting out there soon too as that lake is loaded with piggies.
NO, this darn kid is kicking my Ma can’t handle picking up Jr anymore so I’m pretty much on the hook(pun intended) till #2 is with us. According to the Dr, everything is in motion and the kid is headed south. She is hoping we get 3 more weeks in the incubator. I’m predicting a June 28th arrival.
It was a shoot-out at Waconia this weekend with 6 guys bringing in over 15lbs. Most fish were caught on deep weedlines using jigs, worms or tubes. I never thought that 15.5lbs would’ve ever got me 6th place…guess I was wrong!

If we would have had one more day to apply what we learned BC, we could have kicked some butt. That Lake was pretty sweet once you get to know it. Those largies REALLY fight too. A 2 pounder gets your attention.
I got out there for a couple hours after work and ended up getting around 10 bass on the outside weedlines. We got the fish on small cranks (perch) and drop-shots. Biggest fish was around 2.5 and the rest where 1.5 or less. It was a nice night to get ut after that sun went down a bit. Is it me or is the weedline on Waconia the hardest to follow? it seems as though the weeds went out to 10 feet, then 15, then 20 and then up to 8 again.Obviously those are the spots to key in on but these changes seem to happen more often.
