    Opted to fish walleyes today on the Croix, was wondering what won the contest today.

    I think it was a 1.8lb crappie…
    I think 3rd place was 1.5lbs. We caught a ton of them, probably 60-70 fish, but could not hook up with a winner.

    When I got home from work today, I called 2 Gander Mountains to find out what won. The first one I called had no clue about anything (location intentionally withheld). Then I called the Minnetonka store, and the guy knew right away that a 1lb 8oz fish won, but did not know what 2nd and 3rd was. I called the first store back and informed them of the results. The Mpls Star Tribune had ABSOLUTELY NO coverage at all this mornings Sunday paper. There might be ( ) some coverage in the Mon paper.
