Anyone been doing anything on Elmo? I have been targeting the trout but after so many hours with little to show, it might be time to focus on other species.

I just looked up Lake Elmo on the DNR website. It says they threw a few adult trout in there back in 01 but said they considered that to be “short lived”. Probably the ones that didn’t get eaten by anglers have been eaten by Northerns.

I see you’re from SSP. We’ll have to get out sometime.

I just figured I had better post here too seeing how I live in SSP also. I am going to swing by Lake Elmo over lunch to see what it looks like, I work right next to it.

Hey guys. Either of you head down to P2 at all. I have been trying to focus on hard water angling but this warm snap is getting me to ready the proV.

I haven’t been down there yet. The Lund is still in “winter storage” mode but your right the way the weather has been it’s crossed my mind more than once! With my luck if I did out the batteries back in and get the outboard running etc. then it would get cold out again. But it’s something to consider!

I haven’t been down yet but I am thinking of making it down there soon. I have my boat out of storage and ready to go, I just need to take time out of ice fishing to get down there. I am hoping for next weekend.

Oh there are still trout in elmo, I havent tried ice fishing them though. My goal is to learn how to catch them consistently next summer.
