The lake is icing up so open water trolling is done. Not quite as good as last year but not bad either. The first is a sumo 27″ walleye that weighted over 9lbs. Rest all either 28″ or 29″. Once again no 30″.

Nice fish I usually make a couple trips down there in the fall but never made it this year.

I didnt make it to tonka at all this year… I will on the ice this winter. I have had decent fall walleye fishing there myself.

Im not the biggest fan of Millacs, I usually hate the place.. but the one night I did make it out this late fall(near full moon and calm) we managed 15 walleyes in a few hours, and 5 of them were over 23″, with the largest 2 being at 26″ & 27″ respectfully.

Nobody can tell me there are no big walleyes, or even numbers of them in most metro, or inner city waters… but its not too often that one can contend with a rare, good bite on Millacs. Its not tht hard to catch a big walleye in the cities.. catching 3 or 4 in an outing is another story.. VERY rare.

Only checked some shallow bays. 2″ or so of cruddy ice. SNow messed it up I guess. With these temps should be walkable by midweek. West end is completely covered but the east main lake looks to still have open water. Did not see anyone out ice fishing yet.
