…for that piggie from a couple weeks ago. How often does something like this happen? I hadn’t been on Tonka since 10/19, when I went for a couple hour run last night I fished up this big gal in the same exact spot. Talk about deja vu. This one was a tad smaller (29″), both in length and girth but still a fine fish. The best part is unlike its bigger cousin, this fish had a lot of fight in it. Three long runs peeling line. I thought I had me a slimer. Another spot yeilded a 26.5 and a 24 so it was a fun night.

    Great Fish!!!
Maybe I should reconsider going up to Mille Lacs tonight and head to Tonka.

The odd part is it is not only was a fluke, but now a fluke x2. It is funny you should say that because I myself am heading to Mille Lacs tonight. It is tough to beat the big pond on a relatively warm, calm night.

By having that happen twice in a row… can you imagine how much time I am going to waste on that spot over the upcoming years/decades/centuries?

Generations will pass, cringing as I blab on and on about “that time.”

Where are you guys heading out? I am planning on launching either at the casino or garrison and fishing around there.
Just look at the weather report, clam winds still??? we’ll see….

I will be out of the casino ramp as well but I never know where I am going to go until I get up there. Quite frankly, I often start where I don’t see any boats. I often do eventually join the parade on the weed line but usually do not start there. I may have to keep checking back at the ramp to make sure Kooty isn’t lurking in the shadows of my vehicle, letting the air out of the tires

    Great looking Walleye,
you may have to change you name to “FlukeMan” if you are not careful with those PIGS.
    good going.

The odds are much higher on the pond to hook 10 of these than in Tonka though. I’ll probably be out there one night this week.

Kooty, go to p2. I was on P4 Saturday. They have a nice sauger bite going but the walleyes are scarce. Dean got some nice eyes pitching Friday but I got zip hitting the same spots on Sat. Get some paddletails Catalpa color or chartreuse if you decide on P4. They were the bait of the day by far. I have friday off so I’ll be on P2 or P4 depending on the weeks reports. DZ’s report has P2 way out front right now.
