I spent the morning on Demontreville, getting on the water about 4:30 AM. At my first spot I hit 4 fish on 6 casts: 15 inches, 2 16 inchers and a dandy that was just shy of 21 inches. This was all on topwater Bass Bugs with the flyrod. It’s fun trying to hear a hit since you can’t see anything yet. Anyway, that was it! As soon as it started getting light out the Bass just shut off and I never saw another one. I’m glad I got out there when I did or it would have been a slow day.

My world is upside down-I’m a third shifter. The wonderful advantage of this is that 3,4a.m. is my normal middle of the day, so it’s not a big deal for me to be on the water by that time, and I can attest to the truth of the “early bird gets the worm”. What happened to you was by no means a fluke, it’s the norm Good Fishn to Ya!

    hi Steve,
Congrats on the good fish, a 20+ would sure have to be a good time on the “bugs”
    way to go.
    Jack..
