heading out to White Bear Lake this weekend in the mornings to chase muskies…anyone know where to fish them out here? I have never been on the lake so any information would be helpful. Also, how is the bloom on Bald Eagle? it was really bad last year to the point of not fishing it. just curious.

I was out on WBL on Monday for about 5 hours. My brother and myself were bass fishign but we always seem to see or tie into a muskie. My brother ended up getting a 38-40″ muskie on a white spinnerbait. We caught this fish on the flat in front of the main access. This flat is pretty good for multi-species fishing, lots of cabage/milfoil mixed together with a nice drop off. When the fish it, it was absolute awesome!! It came out of the water like jaws and shook it head. We got a couple of pics and put it back in. We hope the pictures turn out as the camera was the disposable kind. Good luck, there are some monsters out there.

Great—- Glad you got a muskie even though you were not targeting them…. The release is the important part so it will be someones trohpy some day……………. I don’t know a lot about White Bear either so any info will help me out too. I use to have a fish house in the winter off of the Belaire beach and got lots of pike and a few bass…. but that was a different season as I said………….

I have tried the muskies on White Bear but have never connected as of yet……
