Nubbin Buck and I got out on Demontreville early this morning for some Bass action and weren’t disappointed. I caught the first fish of the day was near the access while waiting for Mike to arrive, a healthy 19 inch fish with a heavy girth. Later we had some good top water action. On the Olson side there were noticably fewer weeds. small suspending jerkbaits were working well for partner while I switched to a sinking line and a large streamer with my flyrod.

After a hot and humid week it was a wonderful cool morning with no wind at all. Thanks to Mike for coming aloing and making it a memorable morning.

I hit the lake last night to make some casts for bass and northern. I caught one of each on Olson and nothing on Demontreville. The Washington County sherriffs were out there at sunset giving out tickets to people speeding around the bouys on demontreville that mark the shallow sandy point. Apparently after sunset that area is no wake or slow speed. So, if your out in the evening watch your speed around that area because someone on shore might be watching too.
